Case study
Enhancing performance analytics in PAMM for a Dubai brokerage
Company profile:
A Dubai-based broker that offers a range of trading account options, including US Stock, Standard, and ECN accounts. Additionally, it provides traders with impressive leverage of up to 1:500, enabling them to trade large volumes with smaller investments. The broker uses MetaTrader 5 as its trading platform of choice.
Issues and pains affecting the business
Main issue:
Originally, the broker used an API to extract data from the TFB PAMM solution and generate performance charts for Money Managers (MMs) in their CRM system. This system, however, failed when it came to balance operations, such as commission charges.
If a balance operation was conducted, the data in the MM performance chart would appear corrupted, showing negative values and affecting the accuracy of the performance presentation.
Details of the project: milestones and number of people involved
Project timeline: 2 weeks
The project took two weeks to complete, during which the TFB team (Customer Success and PAMM developers) analysed the issue and came up with several possible solutions that were tested in the demo environment.
After the most optimal solution was presented to the broker, the team began the development and subsequent rollout.
Additionally, the TFB team monitored the chart’s performance closely for an extra week to ensure consistent and precise data flow.
Solution and specific features offered
The TFB development team analysed the issue and implemented an enhancement to the feature
Ensuring that balance operations, such as commission charges, no longer affected the Money Manager performance chart.
End result
The implementation of the performance chart optimisation had a positive effect on the broker’s PAMM operations.
Better decision making by Investors: The optimisation also improved investor–broker relationships. Real-time updated MM statistics increased trust from Investors, enabling them to make an informed decision on who to entrust their funds to.
Improved relationships with Money Managers: Correct data presentation reduced frustration from MMs who were missing out on capital from Investors.
Optimised workflows: The new solution eliminated the need to manually adjust balance-related discrepancies and communicate the reason for incorrect data to Investors and Money managers.
Improved data accuracy: Money Manager trading performance statistics are presented distortion-free.
