As Tools for Brokers celebrates 15 years in the fintech industry, we continue to spotlight the people whose work powers our global growth. This time, we turn to the UK, one of the world’s most competitive and mature financial hubs, to meet Marcus Ingram, Sales Executive and one of the key contributors to TFB’s expanding presence across Europe and the Americas.
Marcus joined TFB in 2021, stepping into the industry straight from university. What began as a first professional role quickly became a foundation for deep expertise, global exposure, and meaningful partnerships. Over four and a half years later, Marcus has grown alongside the UK office itself, helping transform it from a newly formed regional base into a dynamic, client-focused hub.
Growing with the market, growing with the team
“When I joined, the UK office was still finding its rhythm,” Marcus says. “Seeing how much we’ve scaled since then, and the strength of the team we’ve built, has been one of the things I’m most proud of.”
Marcus’s day-to-day work centres on expanding TFB’s presence across Europe and the Americas, consulting brokerages on the technology that helps them run more efficiently. Over the years, he has played an important role in establishing major partnerships in the region, a responsibility built on trust, knowledge, and consistency.
A culture that encourages ideas and innovation
For Marcus, one of the most defining aspects of TFB is the openness to ideas.
“Every client is different. Every case is different. So the ability to customise, tailor, and propose solutions is crucial,” he explains. “What stands out at TFB is that new ideas, whether it’s a development or an approach, are genuinely welcomed.”
This mindset reflects a core value of TFB: empowering the team to shape the products and experiences our clients rely on. It’s part of what allows the UK office to stay competitive in a demanding market by responding quickly, staying flexible, and designing solutions that genuinely meet clients’ long-term goals.
Client-centric at every step
The UK team’s approach mirrors the region’s high standards for precision and trust.
“We try to be as client-centric as possible,” Marcus shares. “It starts with understanding the full picture, where clients are today and where they want to go next. Only then can we tailor solutions that make a real difference.”
It’s this ability to look beyond immediate needs and focus on sustainable growth that makes TFB a valued partner for brokers navigating the evolving landscape of the UK and European markets.
Always moving forward
What excites Marcus most about the future?
“The pace. There’s always a new idea, a new development, something we’re improving. We’re always moving.”
This reflects TFB’s broader commitment to continuous innovation, evolving our technology, strengthening our products, and supporting clients with tools that reduce risk, save time, and streamline operations.
At TFB, we don’t just build tools…
Marcus completes the sentence effortlessly:
“…we make life easier for brokers… fewer headaches, more time, and catching risks before they become issues.”
It’s a simple line, yet it captures the essence of TFB’s mission in one of the world’s most demanding financial regions: equipping brokers to operate with confidence.
Beyond the desk
Outside of work, Marcus stays energised through football, golf, chess, workouts, and anything that keeps him active. When he needs downtime, London’s food scene and a good book are never far away – a balance that keeps him sharp in the fast pace of sales.
The heart of the UK team
One factor stands out in the UK office: collaboration.
“We all have different skill sets, and there’s a strong culture of helping each other,” Marcus says. “No one is afraid to ask questions. That’s how we keep growing.”
As TFB enters its next decade and a half, this spirit – openness, adaptability, and partnership, remains at the core of our success.
