Today, we turn to Asia, one of the most dynamic fintech hubs in the world, and ahead of the iFX Expo Asia, we sat down with Andrea Chew, Sales Manager at TFB’s Singapore office for a warm conversation.

A year of growth and connection

Andrea joined TFB a year ago, stepping into the fast-evolving world of fintech sales with curiosity and determination. “My role is all about uncovering clients’ needs and recommending what genuinely makes sense for their business,” she says.

What started as an exciting career step quickly became an opportunity to learn, not just about the industry and technology, but about people. “Working in this space taught me how to listen, read between the lines, and stay composed even when things get tough,” Andrea says. “It’s a skillset that goes far beyond sales.”

The Asian edge

For over eight years TFB has been present in the Asian market. During this time, the company has grown its presence, expanded its network of clients and partners, and built a deep understanding of the region’s unique market dynamics. In her approach, listening comes before anything else. “We start by listening,” Andrea explains. “Then we uncover the business intent behind the request and recommend the most direct path to value.”
For her, sales at TFB isn’t a transaction, it’s a consultative partnership. Every conversation with a client is a chance to build understanding and find the right solution, not just to meet expectations, but to exceed them.

Teamwork that crosses borders

When asked what TFB stands for, Andrea answers without hesitation: teamwork. “Not just within the company, but with our clients as well,” she says. “We work closely with them, and that’s helped me see how their goals translate into real business progress. Seeing how our solutions resolve pain points gives me a sense of fulfilment and purpose in what I do.”

When thinking about the future, Andrea’s optimism shines through. “Watching smart people turn obstacles into growth opportunities excites me,” she says. “Our leaders have clear direction, and the team is very aligned. I truly believe this combination puts TFB in a strong position to keep accelerating over the next three to five years.”

Outside of work, Andrea finds her balance in reflection and rest. “My energy foundation is no secret, but it’s undefeated – a no-alarm weekend!” she laughs. “Journaling, people-watching, and reflecting help me reset and frame my mindset for the new week.”
