As part of our 15-year anniversary celebration at Tools for Brokers, we’re highlighting the incredible people behind the scenes, those who bring dedication, insight, and heart to every client interaction. Meet Sharon Tan, Client Success Manager, who’s been with TFB since September 2022.
With nearly three years of experience at TFB, Sharon brings a rare blend of technical expertise and cultural fluency. She holds a degree in Communication Engineering, which gives her a solid understanding of software development, and she speaks Mandarin, English, and Japanese, making her an asset in cross-cultural client engagement.
Sharon has been deeply involved in the onboarding and ongoing success of one of our key clients, GrowthNext, ensuring smooth communication and timely feature development. She’s also played a pivotal role in supporting new clients like GVD, DBG Market, and Sofdiv, who were referred to her by existing satisfied clients – a testament to the trust she builds through her work.
A culture that encourages innovation
When asked what she’s gained from her time at TFB, Sharon highlights the low-pressure, open environment that empowers her to think creatively. “We’re encouraged to innovate, not just in how we work with clients but also in our internal processes. My colleagues and I began using AI tools to summarize meeting notes, send task reminders, and streamline cross-team collaboration with platforms like Jira and Notion. It’s made our work more efficient, dynamic, and even fun.”

What Sharon finds most meaningful in her role isn’t a single milestone, but rather the trust she builds over time. “The happiest moments have been when clients I’ve helped introduce me to others. That kind of referral means they truly value the relationship we’ve built.”
Her approach is straightforward: listen, understand, solve, and stay transparent. By aligning her work with the client’s goals and communicating clearly, often with detailed documentation, she helps ensure that every interaction is smooth and productive.

Whether it’s through industry expos, one-on-one meetings, QBR calls, or real-time chats via Teams, Sharon and her team ensure clients feel supported and heard. “We also offer tools like our Client Portal, where clients can track task progress and speak directly with technical teams. It’s all about keeping communication simple, fast, and meaningful.”

What sets the TFB Client Care team apart is their proactive, personalized approach. “We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. We tailor every solution to the client’s unique needs and budget, and act as the bridge between them and our internal teams,” Sharon explains. “We follow up regularly, gather feedback, and look for pain points before they become problems.”
